Starting a Jewelry Collection
A private label collection can begin without CAD: select a product direction, define the customer and price position, then develop samples and brand presentation.

Select a focused range
A first range is easier to review when the pieces share a customer, material direction and visual language. Start with a limited ring, stud, pendant or bracelet family. A large unpriced catalogue makes sample and inventory decisions harder.
Send useful references
A moodboard, existing product, inspiration link or store presentation can explain your direction. Identify the features you want to develop and any details that should change. References are a starting point for an original specification, not permission to copy protected work.
Turn the direction into samples
The proposal separates selection or design work, CAD adaptation, prototype or sample requirements and production pricing. Review dimensions, fit, metal, stone specification and finish before approving the collection. An image cannot establish gem identity or alloy.
Prepare the brand and repeat record
Supply artwork you have permission to use. Decide marking location, packaging, inserts and presentation. Retain the approved style revision, sample, diamonds, finish and packing record so replenishment can be reviewed against the first run.
What to include in your brief
- Target customer and retail-price direction
- Preferred product families
- Metal and diamond preferences
- Brand artwork and packaging
- Initial quantity and replenishment plan
Your questions, answered
Do I need a company website?
No. A store, Instagram, Etsy or Shopify link can describe the business. Add your brand or trading name to the inquiry.
Is the Starter Collection a stock catalogue?
It is a trade selection for adaptation and quotation. Availability, materials, stones and production scope need project confirmation.
